As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a senior team of engineers while staying deeply involved in the systems, code, and product decisions that shape a core part of Performativ’s platform. You will own a product area end to end, working closely with stakeholders and clients to solve real problems and deliver resilient solutions at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in complexity, drives execution, and raises the bar for how modern engineering teams build.

What you’ll do 📈

• Lead a team of junior-to-senior engineers responsible for a core product area.

• Own systems end to end with your team, from discovery and design to production and support.

• Stay hands-on in the codebase, especially in critical, high-impact, or complex areas.

• Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand real problems and shape effective solutions.

• Drive delivery across the team with clarity, momentum, and a high bar for quality.

• Design, build, and evolve systems that scale reliably under real-world usage.

• Take ownership of the hardest technical and product challenges within your domain.

• Improve how the team works by refining processes, increasing speed, and maintaining strong execution.

• Apply and evolve AI and agent-assisted workflows across development processes to increase velocity and effectiveness.

• Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, security, and long-term sustainability.

What we’re looking for 🎯

• You have experience building and scaling production systems and understand the realities of what breaks.

• You have led engineers while remaining hands-on and close to the code.

• You are comfortable owning a product area and being accountable for outcomes, not just output.

• You bring a strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and engineering tradeoffs.

• You can engage directly with clients or stakeholders and translate complex problems into workable solutions.

• You know how to drive delivery without adding unnecessary process or becoming overly administrative.

• You operate well in ambiguity and help your team move forward with confidence.

• You influence through technical credibility, judgment, and execution.

• You have strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a practical mindset.

• You actively use AI or agent-based tools and think critically about how to apply them across a team.

• You understand the risks of AI-assisted workflows and take responsibility for correctness, security, and system integrity.

• You communicate clearly and directly and have a high sense of ownership and follow-through.

• Experience in fintech, wealth management, or other regulated environments is a plus.

• Experience with technologies such as Golang, TypeScript, PHP, Python, React, React Native, AWS, Redis, MySQL, and CI/CD tooling is a plus.
